Cost breakdown for Korean Language study in ELC

And so I finally embarked in my 6-months journey to Korea for my Korean language study. I'm sure many will be interested to know how much does it cost. Here's a break down on my expenses:



Round trip flight from Singapore to Korea (Incheon Airport):
      Singapore Airline (Premium Economy to Seoul and Economy flight back to SG): SGD 1,993.50
      It is cheaper if you book the return flight together. It cost $1294.60 for a one-way flight.

Ewha Women University Korean Language Intensive Program (Fall & Winter 2016): 
      KRW 1,650,000 x 2 + 60,0000 (admin fee)
      SGD 4,200

Ewha Women University Dormitory (Double room - Graduate Student Dormitory): 
      KRW 1,200,000
      SGD 1,500

고시원 near Ewha Women University (Coco Residence):
      KRW 500,000 x 3 months
      SGD 1,875

Misc. charges (via POSB):
      Currency transfer handling fee: SGD 10 x 2
      Cable: SGD 20 x 2
      Currency transfer agent charges: SGD 18 x 2
      Insurance (Liberty Insurance: Overseas Student Care - 6months): SGD 30

x 2 cause the I had 2 transactions; one for school fee and the other for dormitory fee.
To simplified  everything, I used an Exchange Rate of SGD 1 = KRW 800 for all.

Total cost: SGD 7,681
